Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Overview
What HBOT Is
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a non-invasive medical treatment in which you breathe 100% medical-grade oxygen inside a pressurized chamber. The combination of pressure and pure oxygen dramatically increases the amount of oxygen dissolved into your blood plasma — driving oxygen into tissues that injury, infection, or compromised circulation would otherwise leave undersupplied. HBOT has more than fifty years of clinical use and is recognized by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and covered by OHIP for evidence-based medical indications.
