Biography

Dr. Tom Lu is a hyperbaric physician with Evolve Hyperbarics, practicing at our Brampton, Champagne (North York), and York clinics. He brings a family medicine background and research training at the doctoral level to hyperbaric care.

Dr. Lu earned his MD and PhD from the University of Toronto in 2016 and completed his residency in family medicine at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University in 2019. He is certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). He completed the Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine in 2025.

Dr. Lu’s primary practice is comprehensive primary care. He serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. His focus is on providing evidence-based hyperbaric oxygen therapy for patients with sudden sensorineural hearing loss, crush injuries, chronic wounds, and radiation-induced tissue injury.
