Dr. Tanzila Basrin is a hyperbaric physician with Evolve Hyperbarics, practicing at our Champagne (North York), York, and Durham (Whitby) clinics. She brings a family medicine and emergency medicine background to hyperbaric care, with subspecialty training in sports and exercise medicine.
Dr. Basrin earned her MD from the University of Ottawa in 2017 and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Toronto in 2019, followed by a Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEME) Fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2021. She is certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). She completed the Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine in 2023.
Dr. Basrin practices emergency medicine at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering Hospital and family medicine both in person at Don Valley Medical Associates and virtually through Telus Health MyCare. She is passionate about the science and evidence behind hyperbaric oxygen as a treatment modality, and individualizes care plans for patients as they navigate the risks and benefits of hyperbaric oxygen treatment.
