Dr. Ronen Jhirad is a Hyperbaric Physician and Consulting Physician with Evolve Hyperbarics, practicing at our Brampton, Champagne (North York), and York clinics. He brings a vascular surgery background to hyperbaric medicine, with three decades of surgical experience.
Dr. Jhirad earned his MD from the University of Toronto in 1990 and completed his training in vascular surgery at McMaster University in 2003. He is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). He completed the Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine in 2023 and holds a certificate of successful completion of the Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine awarded by Wound Care Education Partners.
In three years of HBOT practice, Dr. Jhirad has supervised between 1,000 and 5,000 hyperbaric treatments. He has completed the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course and continues to serve as a Surgical Assistant at Brampton Civic Hospital, supporting the Vascular and da Vinci Urology programs. He was formerly an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and a Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Dalhousie University. He is passionate about limb preservation and patient safety.
