Dr. Lakshmi Kamala is a hyperbaric physician with Evolve Hyperbarics, practicing at our Brampton and York clinics. She brings a family medicine and emergency medicine background to hyperbaric care.
Dr. Kamala earned her MD from Western University in 2019 and completed her residency in family medicine at Western University in 2021, followed by an Enhanced Skills program in emergency medicine at Western University in 2022. She is certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada with added competency in emergency medicine (CCFP-EM). She completed the Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine in 2025.
In her first year of dedicated HBOT practice, Dr. Kamala also practices emergency medicine at Credit Valley Hospital, part of Trillium Health Partners, and serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. She is passionate about providing hyperbaric medicine to patients with OHIP-covered indications including idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss, delayed radiation injury, and chronic wounds.
