Dr. Augustine Marchie is a hyperbaric physician with Evolve Hyperbarics, practicing at our Brampton, Champagne (North York), York, and Durham (Whitby) clinics. He brings a family medicine and emergency medicine background to hyperbaric care.
Dr. Marchie earned his MD from the University of Toronto in 2008 and completed his residency in family medicine at McMaster University in 2010, followed by an Emergency Medicine fellowship at the University of Western Ontario in 2011. He is certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada with added competency in emergency medicine (CCFP-EM). He completed the Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine in 2026.
Dr. Marchie’s other clinical work includes urgent care and emergency medicine. He is drawn to the unique role of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in treating complex conditions such as chronic wounds, radiation injuries, carbon monoxide poisoning, and decompression sickness — seeing patients recover from conditions that may not respond to conventional treatments is highly rewarding to him.
